3 The Fragrance of Surya Atman

The fragrance of Surya Atman (of the Inner Sun)

Invited by the Alliance Française du Bengale, I gathered four artists in order to make this creation : a storyteller, a sarinda player, a baul singer and a butoh dancer. Minimalism and mysticism are at the core of this danced ritual which tells the passionated and passionating story of the flame of devotion (the Inner Sun) and the Joy, the divine ecstasy, which, after many efforts been done, arises from it. It is since 2018 that I’m practicing with Parvathy Baul (disciple of Sri Sanatan Das Thakur Baul whom maxim is Make your life into a prayer) and that Baul tradition started to influence my vision and my art.

Le parfum de Surya Atman (du Soleil Intérieur) (Alliance française du Bengale, Calcutta, Inde, 26 juillet 2018)

Invitée par l’Alliance Française du Bengale, je rassemble dans cette création quatre artistes : une conteuse, un joueur de sarinda, une chanteuse baul et une danseuse butô. Minimalisme et mysticisme sont au coeur de ce rituel dansé qui raconte l’histoire passionnée et passionnante de la flamme de la dévotion (le Soleil Intérieur) et la Joie, l’extase divine, qui, à force d’efforts, en découle. C’est à partir de 2018 que je me met à pratiquer auprès de Parvathy Baul (disciple de Sri Sanatan Das Thakur Baul dont la maxime est Faites de votre vie une prière ) et que la tradition baul se met à influencer ma vision et mon art.
